FULLY REMOTE Contract Opportunity based in Seattle, WA.

Pay: $50-$55 Hourly MAX (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Job Description

Game Pass is a subscription service that gives members access to more than a hundred games on consoles, Windows PCs, or both. The service offers a mix of classic titles dating back to the original, along with new releases. Games rotate in and out of the library on a regular basis.

The team is looking for a Business/Financial Analyst to assist with their FY25 deliverables.

This Includes The Following

  • Business modeling
  • Managing data sets
  • Build forecast for Game Pass (quarterly & annually)
  • Drawing insights
  • Tracking actuals v expected (how many hours they need, revenue targets, subscriptions)
  • FY planning
  • Drivers variance
  • Tracking initiatives (enhanced subscriptions / growth on PC or Console)
  • Working with stakeholders on next years targets
  • Monitoring scorecards

MUST HAVE Skills

  • 5+ Years of Business & Financial Analyst experience
  • Data modeling
  • Advanced Excel

Ideal Candidates will come from a background with Subscriptions, Entertainment, Gaming, and Mobile experience. Previous experience working for entertainment companies such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in quarterly forecasting cycle; manage analysis and reporting of forecast vs. actuals and identifying key drivers; update key
  • reports, scorecards, and slides in collaboration with GDP, Subscription, and Finance teams.
  • Analyze large datasets to generate insights on business performance; develop and maintain Excel models to support business decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with broader team for ad-hoc analyses; provide data and insights as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Typical Task Breakdown

  • 80% business analysis
  • 20% project management

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Advanced Excel skills are a MUST (V look ups, index matches, pivot tables (not big on macros in context of broader team) if they know how to build basic dashboards in Excel)
  • Tableau or Power BI – used for extracting data, not building out dashboards
  • Subscription or Gaming experience is a preferred
  • Corporate finance experience required
