Senior Accountant - Contract Position with Operational Excellence Focus at Get It Recruit - Transportation

We offer an exciting contract position for a Senior Accountant to join our team and handle a variety of critical accounting tasks. Responsibilities

• Execute daily, monthly, and quarterly operational tasks, including system-to-system reconciliations, resolving system errors, and performing manual interventions as needed.
• Process journal entries accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare wire payments, record cash transactions, and manage cash receipts, disbursements, and wires.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for new accounting system features and collaborate with operational and technology teams to ensure smooth transitions and functionality.
• Review and reconcile system errors, applying manual fixes when necessary.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong background in operational accounting tasks.
• Familiarity with insurance accounting is a plus.
• Experience with PeopleSoft general ledger is a plus, along with proficiency in Excel. Experience with Essbase/Smartview queries, OAC queries, and Narrative Reporting is also required.
• An accounting degree is a plus.
