National Polling and Market Research firm seeks Strategy Associate (Pacific Time).

Strategy Associate
We are currently seeking Strategy Associates, an entry level role that assists with research design, analysis and reporting results for quantitative and qualitative research projects. Responsibilities include assisting with questionnaire design, data collection planning, proposal development, research report drafting and editing, as well as proofreading and other quality assurance protocols.
This full-time hourly position provides a flexible schedule that sometimes includes evening and weekend hours; the general expectation is that normal working hours for this position are 9am to 5pm PACIFIC TIME ZONE. The position is open to all applicants in the U.S. EMC Research has offices located in Oakland, CA; Seattle, WA; and Washington, D.C. and at this time, staff is able to work from home remotely. More than 40% of our staff is fully remote and located all over the country.
This entry level position requires a self-motivated, data-focused problem solver who is interested in social behavior and public opinion, and can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. We are currently looking to fill positions serving these strategy groups:
- Campaigns and Public Affairs: Voter messaging and targeting research for candidate and ballot measure campaigns. Issue advocacy, branding, message testing, and member engagement research for private sector, corporate and nonprofit clients.
- Public Policy and Social Marketing: Community research for state and local government agencies including cities, public health agencies, school districts, and public transportation agencies.
Compensation: $25/hour minimum adjusted to reflect experience and cost of living. Under our EMC Research Great Careers plan, we provide full pay transparency and a clear path to compensation growth. Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years related experience and/or training
-High level of attention to detail
-Deadline driven and able to produce high-quality work within short timelines
-Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
-Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
-Interest in public policy, politics, campaigns, or non-profit advocacy
-Basic knowledge of statistics and quantitative research
Additional Desired Skills and Experience:
-Foundation in research design and analysis
-Visualizing data for presentations, reports, or promotional materials
-Political campaign, government affairs, or public policy experience
-Ability to travel up to 10% within the U.S.
