Your Role: Expansion Research Specialist
The Expansion Research Specialist is accountable for helping us to understand new product categories from identification of the category to launching, and everything in between. Exploring uncharted territory for Ultimate Beauty, they take initiative to deeply research new opportunities and work collaboratively with our teams to adapt processes to new categories, coordinate seamless launches, ensure compliance and enable supply chain, among others.
Your Role's Impact:
The Expansion Research Specialist creatively, yet methodically, introduces and launches new opportunities, backed by research, data and innovation.
Accountabilities:
Conduct thorough research into potential new categories and products, including identification, evaluation of alignment to company objectives, feasibility and launch strategies, among others
Develop and execute comprehensive launch strategies for new product categories on the Amazon platform, collaborating and coordinating with cross-functional teams
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of launches and iterate on strategies and processes for continuous improvement
Create, document and improve processes, ensuring clarity through SOPs, consistent updates and communication
Evaluate the feasibility of expansion opportunities through analysis of market data and understanding profitability and potential risks
Translate research findings into detailed but accessible reports that show clear recommendations
Requirements
Your Skills & Attributes
Required for your role:
Experience in market research and analysis, preferably in an expansion-focused role
Experience launching new products and categories and, e-commerce are big advantages
Data-centric with a strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise and communicate complex information
Self-motivated & willing to take initiative with strong self-management and organisational skills
Creative mindset and advanced problem-solving skills, ability to quickly research, analyse and find a solution to any issue
A love of optimisation and constant process improvement
Experience with Google Sheets or Excel is a must while market research tools and methodologies is an advantage
