Job description

 

As a Proposal Manager at Beaufort CRO, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth by managing the end-to-end proposal development process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Project Management, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory Affairs, to develop compelling, client-focused proposals that effectively communicate our value proposition. Your expertise in developing timelines, budgets, and evaluating resources will ensure that our proposals are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of comprehensive, customized proposals for current and potential clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to gather relevant information, ensure alignment with client needs, and develop strategies that highlight our competitive advantages.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements, clarify any ambiguities, and ensure that proposals meet their expectations.
  • Content Management: Maintain and update a repository of proposal templates, standard operating procedures, and content libraries to streamline the proposal development process.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, adhering to company standards and client specifications.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage proposal budgets, ensuring that all costs are accurately captured and presented in a clear and transparent manner.
  • Timeline Management: Create proposal timelines, ensuring that all deliverables are met within the agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the proposal process and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to inform proposal strategies and positioning.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, business development.  Experience within the CRO or Life Sciences industry is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the clinical research and development process.
    • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
