Procure To Pay Manager

Job Summary

Global Business Services (GBS) drives alignment among business units to integrate governance, locations, and business practices across the enterprise to achieve transformative performance improvements. GBS drives collaboration and sharing to improve delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes. The Leader of Procure to Pay (PTP) is responsible for streamlining and improving PTP end-to-end processes globally. The role focuses on driving the current delivery organizations to meet SLA and KPI targets, and running process improvement capabilities across the End to End (E2E) to harmonize, standardize, improve, and automate.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Partners with Controllership and reports toGlobal Process Owner of Procure to Pay (GPO of PTP) to achieve priorities.

Act as the business partner for the Region from PTP to Functional leaders represented in a variety of E2E processes. Act as an escalation point when appropriate.

Partner with functional leaders to drive day-to-day operations and deliverables in a variety of E2E processes.

Help functional leaders to set policies and strategy goals for their E2E processes, including required compliance standards.

Assist in designing and overseeing implementation of a portfolio of projects to standardize processes across all BU’s and Regions for their E2E processes.

Help drive to meet an annual continuous improvement target for both cost and quality for each E2E.

Implement a variety of process improvements, technology implementations, and automations to streamline the efficiency and effectiveness of the E2E processes. Responsible for identifying automations.

Represent each E2E globally as an equal partner with the functional leaders to brief internal and external stakeholders on opportunities, targets, risks, and successes.

Assist in designing and running global governance structure for a variety of E2E processes.

Expected Areas Of Competence (i.e., Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)

For PTP, must have deep background in both procurement and payables, experience in implementing and operating PRO/AP technologies including SRM, directed buying systems, PTP reporting, vendor management, pricing and item master data.

Must have demonstrated stakeholder management skills.

Must have P2P compliance understanding and experience and have worked in an audited environment.

Must have experience leading operations teams in the PTP space

Must have knowledge of both outsource provider (BPO) services and shared service center operations. Must have either built or run a Finance Shared Services Center or PTP GBS delivery group.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and feel equally comfortable on a shop floor or in a boardroom. Must be collaborative and be able to effectively facilitate information across multiple teams and functions.

Must have deep business acumen, knowledge of the Med Device industry, and a broad base of knowledge for how other companies have built and deployed GBS PTP capability.

Must be an excellent and motivational people leader, capable of finding, coaching, and promoting a diverse and inclusive team of top talent

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of industry trends and competitive strategy outlook in order to identify opportunities.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Experience and knowledge working with SAP and SAP Ariba preferred.

Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree in a business or finance related field of study. MBA or equivalent Masters degree preferred.

Minimum of 6 years work experience in the PTP space inside large and complex multinational organizations. Additional experience preferred.

CPA or equivalent preferred; must be up to date on CPE accreditation requirements

Must have a working knowledge of other global accounting standards from APAC regions.

Experience in automation required. Some experience in automation tools required, RPA preferred.

Travel Requirements

Stakeholder interactions will be primarily in Kuala Lumpur Malasia. Occasional travel may be required to meet other regional stakeholders. Will travel up to 25% of the time.
