The role
We are seeking an experienced CPG Manager to lead our efforts in expanding and optimizing our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) product category. The CPG Manager will be responsible for sourcing new CPG suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving the overall performance of the CPG product category. This role is critical to our growth strategy as we aim to strengthen our market presence and deliver exceptional products to our customers in the U.S. market.
Please note that this position requires travel that may greatly fluctuate, with an estimated range of 30-40%. Travel will often occur in blocks, which may include several consecutive weeks away from your home base. Candidates must be prepared for this level of travel as it is essential to the role.
Key Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and onboard new CPG suppliers that align with our company’s quality standards and strategic goals.Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring reliable supply chains and favorable terms.Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential suppliers in the CPG industry.Lead contract negotiations with CPG suppliers, focusing on terms that maximize value, ensure quality and mitigate risks.Collaborate with legal and finance teams to draft, review, and finalize contracts that align with company policies and objectives.Manage contract renewals, amendments, and compliance to ensure ongoing alignment with business goals.Develop and execute sourcing strategies that expand our CPG product portfolio while meeting market demands and customer expectations.Oversee the end-to-end product sourcing process, from initial supplier engagement to final product delivery.Collaborate with the Category Management team to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.Own the performance of the CPG product category, setting and achieving goals related to revenue, profitability, and market penetration.Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to drive category performance and ensure products meet customer needs.Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.Conduct ongoing market analysis to understand customer preferences, competitor offerings, and industry trends.Use insights from market analysis to inform product development, sourcing strategies, and category management decisions.Develop long-term strategies for the CPG category that align with the company’s overall business objectives.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, finance, Category management, and supply operations, to ensure the successful launch and management of CPG products.Lead cross-functional teams to address challenges, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement in the CPG category.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not a pre-requisite.5+ years of experience in CPG sourcing, supplier management, or category management, with a proven track record of success in the U.S. market.Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract management and supplier relationship building.In-depth knowledge of the CPG industry, including market trends, key players, and consumer behavior.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.What we offer:Stock options, so you’ll own a part of Printify.Competitive monthly salary based on your experience.Flexible working hours: as long as the job is done and you are happy and healthy, you can adapt your workflow.Remote work is possible and encouraged. We value transparency and strive to offer competitive compensation packages based on fair and equitable principles. The remuneration for this role ranges from USD 80 000 to 100 000 gross per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and skills.
