Job description

About the Role: We are looking for a Field Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will effectively manage all aspects of responsible international and domestic customers across Head-to-Tow product forms.

This role will be located in Gore facility in Shanghai, China.

Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the sustained health and improvement of the overall customer relationship to achieve Gore sales goals, and customer satisfaction/loyalty metrics
  • Incorporate business intelligence to develop, maintain and implement account plans, including long-term winning account strategies, objectives and opportunities
  • Understand Gore’s and customer’s industries, markets and business models, including mapping the stakeholders, understanding of the responsible accounts’ strategies, positioning to consumers, and the priorities of various purchase decision-makers
  • Communicate credibly and effectively at all levels of the account, for example, developing extensive product and thought leadership advising customers on textile choice from laminate collection, to identify values-based solutions
  • Be able to turn complex internal product/business strategies into clear and concise account strategies
  • Create account team vision and strategy, build the team, align resources and drive collaboration with cross functional account team members to plan and execute account strategies
  • Practices and supports the Gore culture


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience with proven record in selling premium-priced technical products in a consumer-related industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Chinese and English
  • A team player – ability to engage, influence and lead cross-functional Account Team
  • A strategic thinker - ability to integrate industries knowledge, business intelligences, and customers’ needs to establish vision, strategy
  • A restless learner – demonstrated good understanding of the customer’s business and finance capability, experienced in leading customer through premise-based forecasting to manage short- and long-term opportunities with multiple levels of customers’ organization
  • A credible partnership - connect and influence effectively at all levels of the customer, including executive level, based on sound understanding of the industry, market and customers’ business to explore, identify and capture customer opportunities
  • Proven track record in supporting global customers’ local development
  • Travel to customers up to 30% with regional deviations (if applicable)


Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA is preferred
  • Experience in fabrics business is preferred
  • Experience in premium ingredient product selling with good sense of brand value is preferred
