The VP of Sales of Emergency Medicine/Hospital Medicine is responsible for continuously developing, implementing, and enhancing integrated business development growth strategies to ensure Envision’s competitive and successful place in identified target markets. This role collaborates with the operations leadership team towards fostering an environment of stable enterprise growth through promoting innovative quality initiatives. This position will require about 50% of travel.

Responsibilities
- Manage new Organic growth in Tier I and Tier II states with emphasis on innovation and value-based care.
- Responsible for supporting operations team in the renewal/renegotiation of current active accounts.
- Identify new service line opportunities in current client facilities in Tier I and Tier II markets.
- Meet with prospective clients to understand service issues, needs, etc. Based on assessments, work with operational and divisional leadership to determine feasibility of bidding on the applicable contract(s).
- Participate in the development of strategies and proforma development of potential contracts and re-bids.
- Serve as liaison between key clients and our internal departments, as needed.
- Achievement of annual new organic growth gross profit assignment.
- Mitigate subsidy risk through renegotiations of unfavorable subsidies and retain desirable current business in facility/system with a focus on achieving revenue and gross profit targets.
- Assist with rightsizing/reimagining underperforming current business in facility/system.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's in business, marketing, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of successful experience in leading multiple product line business development activities in a health care environment.
- Knowledge of proforma development and budget tracking required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Medical industry experience.
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities at all levels within an organization.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Strong research skills. Solid teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changing job environment.
- Proficiency in PC-based Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
