Job description

High Level Project: Implement the Inventory module in PeopleSoft to assist the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine and UTShare with an inventory system. This will integrate UTRGV's School of Medicine financial books ERP (PS) with the patient health record system (Epic). The Inventory module is not yet implemented in any environment that SIS supports, we are looking for a FMS Developer that has a proven record in this specific module in order to support the project development request with guidance from our FTE team of Client and Developers.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for designing, developing debugging, customization, documentation and supporting application solutions and re-engineered components based on client requirements. Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, designing and modifying PeopleSoft modules and building integration to a multitude of ancillary systems to meet user needs and enhance processes.

Job Functions

Provides technical and consulting support for PeopleSoft applications within the Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) 9.2 system(s). This individual is responsible for the analysis, planning, design, development, testing, debugging, and production support of PeopleSoft applications. The developer is responsible for full system life cycle support of PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain and Portal including system design analysis, programming, testing. Interface with functional analysts as well as with technical resources (other developers, DBAs, PS Admin, Windows Admin, Security Admin, etc.) on enhancements and troubleshooting issues.

Ability to work successfully in a team environment and possess the flexibility/adaptability to changing requirements. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Decision-making Authority: This role passes or fails testing of office specific to-be business processes, deliverables, and application configuration.

Description

  • Responsible for technical solution design, development, deployment/cutover, and implementation covering all technical aspects of the PeopleSoft FSCM lifecycle.
  • Provides hands-on technical solutions to business challenges & translates them into process/technical solutions.
  • Responsible for the design, development and delivery of various PeopleSoft application development components, including reports, interfaces, conversions, creating CI based webservices, APIs and implementation of custom solutions.
  • Interprets requirements, performs highly complex analyses and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results.
  • Designs, plans, tests and implements remediation's which meet functional and technical specifications of a large PeopleSoft FSCM application.
  • Conducts Unit testing and resolve issues found in testing.
  • Effectively communicates and demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of related experience in FSCM application.
  • Extensive experience working with PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) 9.2
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with the PeopleSoft Inventory (IN) & Cost Management (CM) modules or a minimum of 4 full-lifecycle implementations.
  • Hands-on support of Inventory, Mobile Inventory, Item Master, eProcurement, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable is preferred.
  • Experience in drafting technical design specifications and test plans for application modifications or customizations,
  • Experience with People Tools, including Application Designer, Application Engine, People Code, Application Packages, Application Messaging, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Workflow and Query.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience developing interfaces with Third party and GL and AR Interface applications. Prior knowledge of higher education industry preferred.
