Job Description:

The Education Outreach Specialist II (EOS) in Össur's Upper Limb Solutions is responsible for business development through educational initiatives and raising awareness among healthcare professionals about the importance of prosthetic care. In this role, the EOS is entrusted with cultivating strong relationships with physicians and other healthcare practitioners across a multi-state territory to contribute to inorganic revenue growth for Ossur upper limb products.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute outreach and business development plans for the EOS team to raise prosthetic care awareness amongst healthcare professionals treating upper limb amputees across various disciplines through educational in-services.  

  • Collaborate with regional teams to pinpoint new business opportunities to attain sales objectives. 

  • Collaborate with the sales and service teams across the business unit to identify leads and facilitate the transition to the purchasing phase.  

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with healthcare professionals treating upper limb amputees through methods such as cold calling, networking, and conference attendance, which coincide with targeted regional outreach plans. 

  • Continuously explore innovative approaches and effectively implement strategies to overcome objectives for lead generation, identifying new opportunities and industry partnerships. 

  • Conduct clinical education through workshops, presentations, product demos, and informational sessions in various settings to generate new revenue. 

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage marketing collateral, social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels. 

  • Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate clinical workshops throughout the territory.  

  • Maintain a diverse pipeline of contacts that contribute to lead generation and creation of new sales opportunities. 

  • Provide guidance for improved referral processes and sales opportunities related to increasing sales and market share to the team. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing or sales, preferably in medical products. 

  • Strong understanding of medical prosthetic terminology preferred.  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences, including doctors, medical providers, and industry stakeholders.  

  • Exceptional organizational skills. 

  • Genuine passion for education and a commitment to improving individuals’ lives through prosthetic care. 

  • Proven ability to teach in a one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings.  

  • Acts with integrity in all ways at all times. 

  • Dynamic personality with a flexible mentality, capable of adapting to different settings. 

  • Ability to teach in one-on-one, small group, and classroom setting. 

  • Basic computer knowledge, familiar with MS Windows, particularly Excel and Word, web-based interfaces, and SharePoint. 

  • Ability to travel 75% of the year. 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $73,318 - $100,449 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
