Head of Refining Technology - Full Time - Houston (TX) or Houston (TX), United States

 

Are you prepared to embrace a pivotal role that seamlessly blends technical prowess, international exposure, and impactful leadership within the Chemtech family? We are in search of an accomplished Global Application Technology Manager who will spearhead innovation, drive market dominance, and contribute to the expansion of our Chemtech Refinery Systems Business (RSB). In this crucial position, you'll play an essential part in ensuring that Chemtech's offerings continue to lead the way in innovation, while actively contributing to marketing and business development endeavors, and facilitating extended scope business opportunities. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to create a lasting influence on a global scale. 

 

Join our CT_Technology & Innovation team within Chemtech division in United States as Head of Refining Technology to help us take Refinery Technology to the next level. 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing product and application aspects in the Refinery segment as an individual and as a group manager.
  • Elevating Chemtech's visibility and leadership in products and applications
  • Nurturing a thriving innovation process, continuously generating and processing new ideas.
  • Serve as a crucial repository of knowledge for packings, trays, and refinery technology
  • Provide comprehensive training, sales support, and technical assistance for Refinery/RSB globally.
  • Contribute to technical marketing through publications and strategic assistance. 

 

What you bring to Sulzer:

  • Strong, expert level technical skills in upstream, refining and petrochemical operations (including process simulations) and mass transfer equipment design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 15+ years of working experience in a similar engineered technology environment
  • The ability to generate technical studies, papers, and presentations and have the skills to present them in a professional manner to any audience.
  • The ability to travel internationally 15-20% of the time.
