Job description

Your tasks
At ISCC we are a close team of highly motivated, supportive and committed young professionals with a multitude of backgrounds. If you want to use your expertise in a job where you can make a real difference and fulfil a higher purpose, then ISCC is the workplace for you.

We are a leading certification system supporting sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains. Our certification schemes support environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production. If you feel we are a fit, we are looking forward to welcoming you as Marketing & Communications Manager in a permanent full-time position at our ISCC head office in Cologne.

  • You take responsibility and think strategically: You contribute to the development of communication strategies by participating in internal and external communication projects or marketing initiatives.
  • You are creative: You enhance the company's communication activities for internal and external stakeholders, producing engaging written and visual content for various channels (newsroom, newsletter, social media) in collaboration with our graphic designer.
  • You are hands-on: You research various sustainability topics, draft press releases, prepare interviews and cultivate media relations.
  • You reduce complexity: You translate sustainability concepts into clear and accessible language.
  • You keep an eye on the bigger picture: from organising and presenting, to preparing and following up on meetings, to writing. You maintain an overview and proactively report to your manager.
  • You coordinate: You act as the point of contact and representative for your area of responsibility, providing advice and support to colleagues.

Your profile
  • You hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree in communications or a related field.
  • You have at least 3-5 years' experience in corporate communications, public relations (PR) or journalism.
  • In your previous roles, you have gained experience with content management systems (CMS), newsletter platforms and social media.
  • Excellent English (C1) is a must. English is not only our office language, but also the language in which we write all our communication materials. Additional language skills will be of advantage.
  • You have strong MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, experience in creating visually appealing presentations and the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms.
  • You have high degree of initiative and very good decision-making ability combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude.
  • Last but not least: You get excited talking about sustainability topics and relevant legislations.
