Hanover Technology Group is seeking a Senior Information Architect to join our team in our Worcester, MA Corporate Headquarters, or remote work arrangement.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior InformationArchitect provides advanced technical support in the research, experimentation, solution analysis and use of systems technology in the areas of data architecture, data modeling, and database management.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Accountable for delivery of data architecture at the project level, consults with and collaborates with other team members
  • Designs tables, databases for Transactional, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases.
  • Produces conceptual, logical and physical data models and has authority and ownership on these data models
  • Reviews, assesses, enhances vendor data and message models
  • Produces conceptual, logical and physical message models and has authority and ownership of these message models
  • Conforms and adheres data architecture, design to reference architecture, and compliance rules
  • Assures all levels of data integration architecture will be in accordance with Enterprise Data and Data Integration Strategy.
  • Develops overall strategic data integration architecture direction and provides a comprehensive road map for the company data integration needs
  • Provides technical leadership for data integration and ETL architecture, design and development
  • Collaborates with other Architects and ensures the quality of project requirements and design deliverables
  • Leads and/or participates in project architecture design sessions and architecture reviews
  • Leads and/or mentors other data modelers, data architects in the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues and the translation of business requirements into logical data models.
  • Advises business and technical teams on data quality improvements and minimizes the redundancy of data stored in the enterprise.
  • Understands how application architecture, data, integration and infrastructure can enable better business outcomes.
  • Assists the project manager or solution architect in recognizing and mitigating any risks to the solution's overall success or to existing data platforms and operational processes
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Defines data integration artifacts including transformation and mapping rules
  • Participates and acts in an advisory capacity in data governance processes
  • Participates in business requirement / JAD sessions and contributes to business requirements
  • Participates in project planning and estimating sessions and contributes to project plan and project estimates
  • Creates data validation rules and scenarios for QA/test plan, test cases
  • Conducts software evaluation and other strategic activities

  • Data Integration Reference Architecture aligned to the Information Architecture Target Reference model

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • Degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study
  • Additional training or certification in Business Intelligence / Data related to areas is highly desirable
  • 8-12 years of overall Information systems, services / consulting experience of which the recent 5+ years in data architecture and data related fields
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (ie. US Citizen or Green card holder)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with management (theory and practice)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of financial analysis and models
  • Familiarity with basic graphical modeling approaches
  • Basic Big Data Hadoop skills
