What's the role?
Are you an experienced sales professional with experience of leading teams? Are you highly ambitious and looking for a role that will accelerate your professional development?
On this program you will initially integrate in a hands-on Account Manager role - there's no better way to learn our products, customers & business. The Account Manager role gives you a solid platform on which to then develop into a leadership position as a Regional Manager. From your time as an Account Manager, you will have all the knowledge needed to lead, coach & develop a team of 7-10 Account Managers, as well as taking responsibility for the growth of your own business area.
At Hilti, we'll provide you with the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s biggest construction projects whilst at the same time offering world-class training, supporting you to perform and develop to your full potential.
Who is Hilti?
Hilti is where innovation is improving productivity, safety and sustainability in the global construction industry, and beyond. Where strong customer relationships are creating products and solutions that are Making Construction Better. Where a passionate and inclusive global team of 34,000 employees across more than 120 countries is exploring possibilities, leveraging their potential, owning their personal development and growing lasting careers. Hilti Great Britain has been consistently recognised as a top employer for nearly two decades and is currently ranked in top 20 UK’s Best Workplaces by the Great Place to Work institute.
What does the role involve?
To make you the best sales leader you can be at Hilti, you need hands-on experience of how we operate, so you’ll initially join us as an Account Manager learning our business from the ground up.
As an Account Manager, no two days are the same. You’ll spend most of your time in the field visiting our customers, wherever they’re busy working, to find out how we can help them and demonstrating our Hilti solutions. You will find yourself in different contexts: construction sites, company offices, production plants & much more. At your customer’s site, you will not only demonstrate some of the most innovative products in the industry, but state-of-the-art software solutions also, as well as ON!Track and our Fleet management services that are part of the Hilti portfolio.
This is a highly autonomous role with real responsibility from the start, so you’ll need to be self-motivated and accustomed to working independently. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own diary to ensure you’re visiting your customers when they need you. At the same time, you will benefit from close mentoring from an experienced leader and will have the support of your line manager and team on a daily basis.
You will also undertake training and development courses at our award-winning training centre in Manchester, to ensure we prepare you for the demands of a sales management role. Once in a Regional Manager position, you will oversee a team of individuals, supporting them in their undertakings as Account Managers, as well as taking responsibility for the growth of your business area.
