Company: Our client is an industrial IoT company founded in Hamburg in 2015, which has received funding and is looking to grow the Development team. They help manufacturing companies achieve their digital goals in the most efficient way. Current clients are big and small production companies from the Automotive, Medical, and Food sectors. You will have the chance to work closely with incredible experts in a rapidly growing niche.

Product: The company develops connectivity solutions for data-driven industry services. They built a product that is a gateway software solution for industrial plants and machines (API for factories), which allows integrating data from the machines to the client's IT system. The installation of this product in a factory closes the gap between the high security requirements in manufacturing and the connected world of digital services. It acts as a translator between protocols and administrative layers, allowing easy, accurate and controlled data access. This product became a key data hub for today's production environments and digital business models in the industry.

Location: Hamburg, Germany.

Type of contract: Permanent remote position.

As Senior Backend Engineer, you design, develop and maintain the cutting-edge microservice-oriented software product as a part of an experienced agile team.

Your responsibilities:

Participate in engineering and actively improving the IIoT software product.

Design and develop a microservice-oriented industrial software that interconnects modern smart factories.

Work with the application core technologies, which is Node.js and Go and modern broker technologies

Troubleshoot and debug software problems

Write and maintain documentation for software applications

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building backend systems ideally in an event driven micro-service environment
Highly proficient in GO and proficient in Node.js for backend development
Good knowledge of Linux and Docker.
Familiarity developing custom protocols over TCP.
Familiarity with message broker technologies like MQTT, NATS or other
