Job description

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer Backend (PHP/TypeScript) to work in a remote setup for our Europe-based client. For this role, we only process candidates who are based Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.

As a software engineer backend, you will:

Build shared infrastructure and tooling to help us build better and faster
Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards

Your Profile

Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Several years of hands-on experience as a Backend Software Engineer, specializing in PHP and TypeScript.
Additional familiarity with Laravel/Symfony is considered a plus.
Demonstrate a profound understanding of micro-services oriented architecture and the creation of extensible REST APIs.
Showcase practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, notably MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch.
Have practical knowledge and hands-on experience with containers, AWS ECS, AWS Lambdas, AWS SQS, AWS S3, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
Exhibit expertise in cloud computing workloads and storage operations, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
Uphold a dedicated commitment to writing clean code, optimizing application performance, and conducting thorough testing.
Display excellent communication skills in English.
