Your mission

Accounting & taxes can be daunting for new users. Most products in this space are optimized for power-users, neglecting the new user experience (NUX). We believe that a great NUX is utmost critical for driving subscriptions and retention, especially in the first 6 sessions. We also believe that the NUX has to be optimized end-to-end, which is only possible when your marketing and product teams are working extremely well together.

Join a very important team at sevdesk as a Senior Growth Product Manager to tackle this challenge. Your team’s goal is to increase activated subscribers:

  • Short-term: Optimize the onboarding journey, from registration to activation, for an amazing first impression and a seamless NUX.
  • Mid-term: Improve existing product/channel fits with marketing, based on our customer segments and your deep understanding on how users switch to us.
  • Long-term: you establish completely new growth loops that can 10x our current growth efforts, together with our Director Product Growth.

Our growth domain accelerates user progress and business growth, playing a crucial role in sevdesk’s success. We are well embedded within the product org and also maintain close ties with our marketing and partnership teams.



Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Work closely with your product trio (Julian & Hannes) and product engineers to solve real user problems and drive business impact.
  • Collaborate with marketing (e.g. Anna-Carina and other (growth) PMs (e.g. Esther)) to ensure a seamless NUX
  • Conduct user research to unterstand when and why users hire us and what keeps them from making progress in their lives.
  • Define and monitor activation KPIs and leading indicators such as Aha moments, to guide your decisions for maximum user & business impact.
  • Lead strategic growth projects and carry the banner for Growth as a discipline at sevdesk.


Your qualification:

  • 4 years in a product or product growth role in a customer-centric environment.
  • Strong curiosity about understanding customers and validating user problems.
  • Able to prioritize impact using data amid chaos and ambiguity.
  • Think big and small: You are as comfortable rethinking whole user journeys as you are running small experiments
  • Clear, effective written communication. In addition German (B2+) is required for user interviews.
