This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality in broadcast graphics, contributing to the success of live broadcasts by delivering accurate and visually appealing graphics.
1. Testing Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate all QA activities within cross-functional teams of designers, developers, and graphic operators.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for templates and scenes in broadcast graphics workflows.
2. Agile Workflow:
- Collaborate closely with Agile teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes within sprints.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
3. Broadcast Graphics Systems Expertise:
- Conduct thorough testing of broadcast graphics systems, including Vizrt and Ross Expression.
- Validate templates and scenes against design specifications and operational requirements.
4. Subject Matter Expertise:
- Apply deep knowledge of US Election processes, Finance, and Sports to ensure accurate and relevant graphics.
- Verify the correctness and timeliness of data used in graphics.
5. End-to-End Pipeline Testing:
- Test the entire graphics pipeline from external data sources through to templates and scenes.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and performance across the entire workflow.
6. Quality Assurance:
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and ensure timely resolution.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with designers to understand creative requirements and ensure they are met in the final output.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with graphic operators to ensure smooth operation during live broadcasts.
8. Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in broadcast graphics.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports.
- Communicate test results and findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
