Who is our Client?
Our client is a European company and multi-business organisation in Japan with several decades and deep roots in the local market. Our client is currently undergoing exciting digital transformation changes as well as a challenging but rewarding transition to Work From Home and Remote Work practices, all of which require strong levels of professionalism and communication to work in this new-normal environment.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the timely availability of AI’s, bulks, packaging components and artworks to secure timely product supply to the sales organization and external customers in full regulatory and quality compliance and cost efficiency (best possible COGS/COGM, effective inventory management, etc.). Lead the local S&OP process
Analyze the demand & supply situations; agree with the commercial organization on countermeasures to avoid shortages/excess inventory and provide forecasts to production sites
Partner with tollers for successful product and process transfer and appropriate change management to support local launch and other lifecycle management projects. Ensure compliance
Provide input to toller network analysis for selecting new tollers or expansion of existing products and help ensure successful implementation
Propose, analyze improvement measures enabling cost reduction, and/or improvements in reliability, flexibility or quality. Lead then the improvement actions engaging with other functions (MKTG, procurement, quality…)
Drive transformational changes through a data-driven decision culture, leveraging data analytics and automated processes in the area of responsibility
Drive performance and monitor KPIs to ensure that sales support and financial targets will be achieved

WHO YOU ARE:

University degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or Business Administration, preferably in Supply Chain
5+ years experience in Planning / Inventory / Logistic management
Strong analytical and communication skills, creativity, and persuasiveness
Very good to excellent problem-solving, networking and communication skills
Competency in digital/planning tools; ERP if possible MS Dynamics 365
Job holder must speak and write fluent business English Japanese. Korean appreciated
