Summary: Throughout the region, ensure all districts perform at or beyond expectations for the Fusion foundations of success. Specifically, districts should meet 1) employee, student and parent loyalty targets as measured by surveys 2) academic performance as measured by MAP or other defined measures of academic outcomes 3) financial targets. **
Note : This role will support Fusion Academy locations in our West Region. Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to California, Arizona, Colorado, or Washington.
Note** : This role is hybrid and requires overnight travel regularly.
In achieving results, RVP’s adhere to the following operating standards:
- Be the organizational ambassador to carry and promote the Fusion vision and instill positive culture throughout the region.
- Meet Department “banks of the river” expectations
- Ensure A-level leadership teams at schools, district, and region.
- Ensure the district, region and corporate teams support the schools.
Your Day To Day
Outcome 1: Meet or exceed budgeted enrollment and EBITDA targets at each district.
- Meet or exceed the annual billable hour’s budget/target at each district.
- Meet or exceed the annual EBITDA targets at each district.
- Provide assistance to DVPs on best practices for budgeting, monitoring, and guiding their districts.
Outcome 2: Hire and develop District Vice Presidents (DVPs) that deliver exceptional results and instill the Fusion culture and values in their districts.
- Meet or exceed targeted Parent Loyalty NPS Scores.
- Meet or exceed targeted Employee Loyalty NPS Scores.
- Meet or exceed targeted Student Loyalty NPS Scores.
Outcome 3: Ensure that the DVPsdeliver high quality and measurable academic results for all students.
- All district staff receive annual on-time performance evaluations.
- MPOPs and campus systems are on time, high quality, thoughtful and intentional.
- Student systems, testing, and documentation is kept up to date and on time.
Outcome 4: Help launch and guide NSO activities for any school preparing to open in the region.
- Review timing of hand-off, staffing within cost model, budgeting, and overall culture at handoff.
- Assist in HOS and DAO hiring and on-boarding 3-6 months before hard launch.
- Ensure school opens successfully and on target with key metrics.
- Support all NFO training and help DVP with guidance on best leaders for NFO.
Outcome 5: Maintain and steward the Fusion culture by fostering a school environment and vision that is consistent with Fusion’s culture manifesto and checklists.
- Hire A player talent and continuously develop, hire, and nurture a bench of future talent.
- Review the culture checklist of each campus from DVP and determine which campuses to assist in doing a culture check list.
- Ensure annual meeting of DVPs at each campus, determine which campuses to visit to provide assistance in visioning and presentation.
- Review strategic planning with DVP at the campus level to ensure a minimum of 1 leadership strategic planning with guidance from teachers is included.
Outcome 6: Manage the Fusion defined meeting rhythm, including:
- Daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual regional strategic planning.
- Review the DVPs meeting rhythm with campuses on MPOP, F2F for leadership positions, and frequency of visits to campus.
- Annually meet with entire region to ensure alignment with other regions and FEG.
- Lead bi-annual meeting with all RVPs and DVPs to ensure alignment across the entire enterprise.
Outcome 7: Act as liaison between FEG corporate and regional support functions. Provide specific attention to:
- Connection meetings with departments at corporate on a bi-weekly frequency.
- With department VPs; participate and host compliance meetings, audits, and assistance in ensuring strict adherence to the banks of the river of each department.
- Work closely with RDO and RDAO to make sure they are providing the proper guidance to DVPs and HOS in their specific areas of expertise.
- Report up to COO any “stucks” regarding the difficulty to comply to department requests.
Experience Required
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 5 years of multi-unit and multi-state operations experience
- Proven record of achieving results
- Proven follow-through on commitments, persistence, problem-solving ability
- Ability to hire and develop “A” players
- Calm under pressure, strong listening/communication skills
- Influential
- Desire to create and improve academic programs, improve stakeholder happiness, and school culture
- Understand and lead the sales process and provide “celebrity” customer experiences
