Active Care Group is actively seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join us as the Group Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead. In this pivotal role, you will direct the development and implementation of our PBS programme across our Residential and Hospitals divisions, catering to individuals with complex care needs.
As the Group PBS Lead, you will collaborate closely with the Group Professional Lead for Therapies and engage with various stakeholders within Active Care Group.

What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and the post-holder will be required to work remotely with frequent travel to ACG sites.

What you'll be doing:
- Input subject matter expertise to the Group Positive Behaviour Support Strategy.
- Have a direct input into complex clinical cases and support our existing operational structure in developing a best-in-class Positive Behaviour Support programme, supporting patients and residents to obtain better clinical outcomes.
- Grow and develop the central Positive Behaviour Support Team, providing direct line management to the practitioner team.
- Develop the culture of Positive Behaviour Support across the Active Care Group portfolio.
- Enhance our existing training programme across services to enable sites to implement Positive Behaviour Support care plans in collaboration with our external training partner.
- Feed into clinical governance structures both locally, regionally, and group-wide as required, collecting robust outcome data sets.
- Participate in quality improvement, research, and innovation.
- Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
What you'll have:
- A formal qualification relevant to the field of Positive Behaviour Support such as (but not exclusively) the Analysis and Intervention in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities MSc, PBS MSc, or Level 7 PBS qualification.
- Be qualified or eligible to work towards recognised Trainer competencies to deliver expert support to our clinical teams.
- Ability to demonstrate significant experience of working in a Positive Behaviour Support Lead role, with experience in delivering a Group wide Positive Behaviour Support strategy (multi-site).
- Good understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, regulations, and legislation.
- Confidence in engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership skills.
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
