NEXA is searching for: 

 

A full-time, Analytical Engineer to support our client in Fremont, CA with developing, preparing, and executing PM, IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols for laboratory equipment in support of GMP/FDA requirements. You will work on-site with one of our new, leading Life-Science clients and will report directly to NEXA’s Validation Manager.   

Responsibilities:

About the job: 

  • Develop, prepare, and execute PM, IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols for laboratory equipment.
  • Manage and oversee monthly task lists, ensuring timely equipment servicing, and coordination with external vendors when necessary.
  • Conduct calibrations for laboratory equipment, including titrators and FTIR.
  • Provide support for additional projects as required.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

Qualifications:

We are looking for people with: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or Computer Science AND
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer specializing in HPLCs (Waters and Agilent).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling professional interaction with clients, staff, and management.
  • Proficiency in Good Laboratory/Documentation Practices, operation, PM, and qualification of lab equipment, protocol and SOP development, as well as a strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting HPLCs and spectrophotometers.
  • Profound troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple and evolving priorities.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and technical writing skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, pharmaceutical GMPs (21 CFR 210 and 211), USP, and ISO regulations.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining open communication with equipment owners to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to autonomously plan and prioritize a diverse workload with minimal supervision.

Desirable: 

  • Experience in project management.
  • Calibration experience
