Job Description: Support and lead site-specific Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site AssessmentsReview historical records related to property, including land use history, ownership, and environmental recordsConduct physical site inspections to observe current conditionsInterview past and present property owners, neighbors, and workers to gather information about site operations involving wastes and chemicalsDevelop sampling plans and health and safety plans to collect soil, groundwater, and other samples for laboratory testingCoordinate with analytical testing to arrange for sample analysisReview results and prepare Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment ReportsQualifications and Skills:B.S. in geology or related degree4-7 years of experience conducting and leading environmental sampling work for various environmental media (e.g. soil, groundwater, air)Experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standardsStrong technical writing skills, with experience writing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment ReportsAbility to travel once a monthExperience with EPA’s Brownfields program ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
