Who You Are:

Our team is seeking a talented creative writer for Minecraft YouTube videos; with a target demographic of 8-15 years old, who can keep the audience engaged and hooked, whilst understanding the possibilities and limitations of Minecraft; with content that is relevant and up to date with the latest trends in Children’s pop-culture.

Your Responsibilities and Skills:

• Write Minecraft video storyboards for 2 or more characters that are entertaining, engaging and competitive; whilst teaching positive social, creative and academic skills and values
• Analyse key YouTube metrics and analytics (including AVD, CTR, Impressions, AVP, etc) to determine successful content elements and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and imitate successful content storylines, styles and strategies from competitors.
• To effectively and efficiently implement and onboard feedback from supervisors into your writing.
• Understand and utilise the key elements of successful YouTube scripts such as: Core Objective, Hook, Context, Twists, etc
• Provide directions for the Set Designers, Animators, Editors and Actors through your scripts and storyboards to bring your vision to life.
• Write both using direct dialogue and prompt and emotive language.
• Implement and integrate current children’s trends and pop-culture into your writing.

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of writing
• Experience and understanding in YouTube Analytics and key metrics (AVD, CTR, Impressions, etc)
• Great communication and activeness.
• Ability to meet and understand deadlines.
• Ability to understand feedback and act on it.
• Knowledge and understanding of Minecraft, social media and pop-culture trends.
• Basic experience and understanding of Minecraft mechanics and Minecraft modding.
• Preferable Additional Skills
• 2+ years of experience writing Minecraft YouTube videos
• Worked with major competitors in this age demographic previously (Prestonplayz, Craftee/LogDotZip, Bionic, xNestorio, Quiff, Donibobes, etc)
• Experience in other Minecraft/YouTube industry-specific roles (Builder, Editor, Animator, Actor, etc)
