Overview:
The Technical SEO Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing a website's technical elements to improve its search engine visibility and user experience. This position is vital in ensuring that the website is structured and coded in a way that is accessible to search engine crawlers and provides a seamless experience for users.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical SEO audits and provide recommendations for site improvements
  • Optimize website structure and internal linking for improved crawlability
  • Manage XML sitemaps and robots.txt to ensure proper indexing and crawling
  • Implement structured data markup to enhance search results appearance
  • Monitor and analyze site performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Collaborate with web development and content teams to implement SEO best practices
  • Ensure proper implementation of meta tags and heading tags for improved relevance
  • Stay updated on search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices
  • Conduct keyword research and provide on-page optimization recommendations
  • Resolve technical SEO issues such as duplicate content, site speed, and mobile responsiveness
  • Track and report SEO performance metrics, such as organic traffic, ranking, and conversions
  • Stay abreast of new tools and trends in technical SEO and implement where applicable
  • Train and educate internal teams on technical SEO best practices
  • Contribute to content strategy with a focus on SEO-friendly content structure
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience working in technical SEO, preferably in an agency or corporate setting
  • In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Moz
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent understanding of website architecture, server-side redirects, and HTTP status codes
  • Ability to communicate SEO best practices and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of structured data markup including Schema.org and JSON-LD
  • Experience with website performance optimization techniques and tools
  • Good understanding of backlink analysis and link building strategies
  • Excellent project management and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices
  • Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other relevant digital marketing platforms is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
