Software Engineer, Legal Ops

EvenUp's Legal Ops (LOPS) engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer to lead the enhancement of our tooling and workflows. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering value to our customers and ensuring that personal injury victims receive the rightful compensation they deserve. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about understanding user needs and addressing them directly with captivating user interfaces for AI-generated document creation. As part of our team, you'll drive future innovations that make a significant impact across the business.

What you'll do:

• Spearhead the design, development and optimization of robust, scalable systems and infrastructure for deploying pioneering algorithms and systems based on large language models. 

• Engage actively throughout the project lifecycle, taking full ownership from inception to deployment and subsequent iterations.

• Grow as an engineer by working with world-class peers on varied and high impact projects.

• Work with internal engineering customers to understand new requirements and address them in a scalable and efficient manner.

• Implement robust, maintainable, reusable code in a modern tech-stack including Python, Postgres, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and other technologies.

What we look for:

• Extensive experience building frameworks, libraries, and distributed systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance.

• Demonstrated proficiency in developing high-quality software, delivering production-ready code, managing infrastructure, and crafting RESTful APIs to industry standards.

• Clear, structured thinking and a track record of delivering complex projects.

• Startup experience with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.

• Experience in Python or other programming languages such as Go, Java, or C++

• Bonus: experience in AI, legal tech, and social impact projects.
