Please Note: While listed as a remote opportunity, this position requires the right candidate to live or be willing to relocate to and work on-site in one of the following areas: Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, St Louis, or DC. Travel to sites or clinics within driving or flying distance from these cities will be required.
Associate Director, Clinical Operations Main Objective: The Associate Director, Clinical Operations is responsible for developing managers to contribute to sustained and exceptional site performance, while actively positioning and mentoring them into future roles and responsibilities.
- Responsible for every aspect of developing a high performing team including hiring, training, coaching, and developing managers in their current roles to improve performance and prepare for future opportunities - this is a strong people management role!
- Travel to the sites under your management as well as study meetings, be a hands-on leader
- Implement and maintain performance management system
- Develop and fortify PI relationships through creating and aligning on quarterly plans.
- Conduct financial reviews with each PI which align with quarterly plans and goals while ensuring adjustments are effectively incorporated into operational plans
- Lead regional growth development through leveraging strategic capabilities of sites under management in collaboration with Business Development
- Identify strategic clinical trial opportunities and align with resource allocation to optimize financial performance across all sites under management
Skills needed to win:
- Required : 4 years of progressive, demonstrable people management experience inclusive of having both direct and indirect reports. The right candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of people management across hiring and interviewing, performance reviews , 1:1s, corrective action, and terminations
- Required: ability to travel 50% of the time to clinics in your region
- Required: Possess general knowledge of medical terminology and a background in healthcare/clinical operations
- Required: Experience managing goals and KPIs
- Preferred: B.S or B.A from any accredited university
- Preferred: 2 years of physician management or transferable experience
- Preferred: 2 years of financial management experience over a larger site/facility, or multiple smaller sites/facilities
