Job Title: Purchasing and Contract Sales Specialist


Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing and Contract Sales Representative to join our Aviation Spares Government/OEM procurement department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for aviation-related products and services for government agencies as well as large OEM’s such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman etc. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the aviation industry and/or the rules and regulations governing government procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify procurement needs for government agencies/OEMs.
  • Source potential suppliers and evaluate bids and proposals.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement regulations and policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with government officials, vendors, and internal teams to ensure procurement processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
  • Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
  • Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in the correct amounts.
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data/information to determine reasonable prices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services to clients.
  • Monitor movement of orders being shipped.
  • Submit and create reports.
  • Respond to and communicate with government contracting officers.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing when making purchases.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on account performance, and industry developments.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aviation procurement or related field
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, with the ability to build/maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use computers and software efficiently.
  • Candidate should have a strong intermediate knowledge of:
  • EXCEL/WORD
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • QuickBooks
  • Google and other search engines
  • Knowledge of Avsight or Quantum strongly preferred but not required.
