Do you want to impact educators and institutions around the globe? McGraw Hill is looking for a Production Specialist to join our Production team on a project basis to help create materials that will inspire learners at all levels.

This is a 100% remote position open to applicants within the United States and offers a full benefits package

How can you make an impact?

McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials, is looking for a Production Specialist for our K-12 School division. The Production Specialist is a detailed oriented individual who can coordinate and manage multiple schedules for deliverables within our end-to-end product lifecycle process. This role is critical to ensuring our K-12 products are built on time and on budget. **

What you will be doing:**

  • Creating detailed schedules for deliverables as needed within the end-to-end product lifecycle process.
  • Collaborating with vendors and project stakeholders to establish trust with cross-functional partners, ensure on-time delivery, drive communication, identify risks and issues relevant to build activities.
  • Lead project meetings including all key project resources and vendors
  • Create and manage planning documents and other project artifacts including schedules for composition, digital delivery, reprints, translations, assessment and other activities as assigned.
  • Align delivery dates to project milestones.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues with vendor and working team, escalating as needed.
  • Document and manage action items for follow-through.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure schedule is realistic, understood, and executed on time.
  • Document and assess implications of changes and decisions regarding scope and budget.
  • Assign vendors based on scope with support from manager.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable by monitoring performance against plan and escalating effectively.
  • Ensure quality checks are performed as defined per project plan .
  • Utilize and oversee usage of production and delivery systems like K4, Primact, Habitat, and InDesign.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of two years of work experience specifically coordinating or managing deadline driven projects.
  • Acute attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools and project management tools such as Smartsheet.com.
  • Familiarity with project management framework or methodologies.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

This role will be filled as a 12-month Project Status Worker (PSW) designation

The pay range for this position is between $45k - $55k annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
