The Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Manager role is responsible for leading the identity lifecycle and access certification programs. This role also assists with the planning, implementation, development, and operations of the overall Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, processes, architecture, tools/technology and provides leadership and guidance to internal teams and managed services providers

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the identity and access management program including the design and implementation of Access Certifications, Application Onboarding and Lifecycle Management processes.
  • Manage, lead, and develop a staff of IGA personnel.
  • Support all services and processes that comprise IGA including Authentication and Authorization, Privileged Access Management, Identity Lifecycle Management and Governance.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-departmental IT teams, business stakeholders, assurance, compliance, and controls teams.
  • Execute on a strategic multi-year roadmap for IAM, including governance and oversight
  • Advise senior management on IGA-related risks and security posture.
  • Represent IGA services and strategies to key influencers and stakeholders across IT and business teams to ensure maximum effectiveness of the IAM program.
  • Provide technical expertise, remove blockers, identify security gaps and vulnerabilities, identity process improvements and ensure on-time IGA deliverables.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure proper resourcing and on-time project deliveries.
  • Develop, track, report and deliver on relevant key IGA organizational metrics.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to meet overall business objectives.

Location: This role can be located in either Syracuse, NY office; Charlotte, NC office OR 100% remote eligible.

The base salary range for this position is $104,000-$136,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (5+ years of IAM)
  • 8+ years Information Technology experience
  • 5+ years people leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience deploying and managing IGA products in a large enterprise environment
  • Proven analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Established verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in financial services or other highly regulated (pharmaceutical/medical, banking, government) industry
  • Knowledge of JAVA, XML, Web Services, Active Directory, LDAP, Azure AD, SQL and/or Mainframe
  • Knowledge of SOX, PII and HIPAA regulatory compliance
  • CISSP, CIAM or similar certification

IT Governance: Knowledge of the accountability framework and processes used to encourage proper behavior in IT activities and operations; ability to implement IT systems and controls to meet business needs and requirements.

Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.
