_NOTE This position will train in Pasadena, TX for 1-3 months upon hire. After training this position will be remote within 4 hours of the Kansas City/Tulsa, OK area ___BASIC PURPOSE:The EPC Business Development (EPC BD) position is responsible for the overall commercial strategy for maximizing WIKA product portfolio sales with assigned Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) accounts in the United States.
The EPC BD leverages their understanding of the EPC work process to create demand and persuade through the conception and presentation of compelling value-added solutions and the development of business relationships with key stakeholders and project teams in assigned EPC accounts.
The EPC BD acts as the main point of contact for EPC clients, supports the relationship at the executive, engineering, and procurement level, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the life of a project.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:** - Develops and executes the Annual Sales Plan (ASP) for each assigned account based on the EPC’s project portfolio, timeline, and business potential. - Tracks and qualifies major capital EPC projects as per WIKA’s criteria for target projects. - Plans and forecasts EPC sales pipeline and enters/updates project opportunities in CRM, MS TEAMS, Etc. - Creates project-specific go-to-market strategies to ensure WIKA can bid the most wide-ranging number of RFQ packages possible. Both direct and indirect through WIKA’s Sales Channel - Assembles and leads project pursuit teams in coordination with internal WIKA Sales and external Channel Partners - Coordinates the project pursuit team efforts to work with licensors, end-users, instrumentation companies, and OEMs to ensure inclusion of WIKA products in EPC and end-user approved vendor lists (AVL) - Works closely with engineering, operations, and inside sales to ensure WIKA delivers meaningful value-added solutions that meet the project’s and client’s needs. - Assists the Contracts Manager and Project Specialist in the review of EPC project T&C and the development of contractual agreements to close the sale. - Participates in related National, Regional, and Local trade shows and conferences.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years equivalent work experience required. - Demonstrated understanding of Power Generation capital projects business (including Nuclear). - At least three (3) years of experience in outside sales offering complex, long-cycle technical solution to EPC companies. - Recent experience selling to EPC companies in the power generation market. - Experience with Process Industries Instrumentation and Controls preferred. - Good understanding of the project proposal groundwork. - Knowledge of project terms and conditions review and negotiation is a plus. - May travel up to 20%
