As a member of the Insurance Legal team, this role reports to the Practice Group Head and will provide legal support for the company’s variable insurance product businesses. **

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

  • Prepare, review and file registration statements for variable insurance products and other related reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Prepare variable insurance product prospectus supplements.
  • Interact with various business departments and outside financial printer to coordinate and EDGARize SEC filings.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and other market conduct related activities.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-110,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience handling registration statements and supplements for variable insurance product filings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates should also have well developed communication skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
