Job description

Our client is a nationwide network of waxing experts dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. They are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring their employees are accurately compensated in a timely manner. Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll for 150-175 employees accurately and on time.
  • Data Entry: Maintain and update employee records, including changes in pay rates, deductions, and personal information.
  • Timekeeping: Verify and reconcile timecards and attendance records.
  • Payroll Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate withholding and reporting of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist in administering employee benefits and processing related deductions.
  • Payroll Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed for accounting, HR, and management.
  • Payroll Software: Utilize Paychex software for payroll processing, troubleshooting any issues, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Excel: Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain spreadsheets, track payroll data, and create custom reports.
  • Payroll Audits: Perform periodic audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date payroll records and documentation.
  • Payroll Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in special payroll-related projects and tasks as needed.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Paychex software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.


  • Client Relationship: You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
  • Payment: All payments for your services will be handled directly by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
  • Vacation Leaves and Holidays: While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client's business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.

Salary: $5 - $6 USD / hour

Technical Requirements

  • Dedicated workstation at home
  • 30 MBPS minimum Internet connection
  • Backup device and Internet in times of power outages
