Join our team as our new Sr. Human Resources Business Partner where you will implement, and support strategies and programs to enhance the effectiveness of leaders and the productivity and engagement of associates with the North America Field Service (East) or ( Project Management & Applications) Areas. You will partner with leaders to coach and consult on leadership effectiveness to optimize relationships between associates and Beckman Coulter. You will work with the leaders and associates to link human resources strategies to business objectives, working towards an engaged and effective workforce and ensuring compliance processes, policies and labor law. You will have the opportunity to counsel and advise your assigned clients on a variety of topics including employee relations, talent management solutions, performance management, associate retention, development, engagement, and front-line leadership effectiveness.

This position is a remote position with a preferred location in the East or Central part of the United States with the expectation of 10% travel.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Counsel and coach leaders on day-to-day situations in topics such as time and attendance, performance management, building inclusive teams, engagement actions all linked to creating an inclusive and engaging work environment. Facilitate training and development programs including both leadership and onboarding courses.
  • Partner closely with leadership in sourcing, selecting and onboarding key talent to continue to build out organizational capability and enables stronger talent bench and funnel for further development and growth. Consult with leaders regarding talent assessments, succession planning and supporting talent actions that drive both personal/professional development (through robust development planning) of associates for continued career growth at Beckman Coulter.
  • Align with Service HR Manager on effective workforce planning and headcount management approaches, inclusive of talent acquisition effectiveness, absence management, workforce continuity and sourcing strategies. Ensure smooth associate transitions both into and out of the organization through planning and preparation.  
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and consult with managers and counsel on outcomes and next steps. Partner with internal employee relations COE on more complex situations and seek guidance and support where needed.
  • Report monthly metrics to HR leadership and client leaders, drives to ensure that countermeasures are in place when not hitting targets, and drives/participates in problem solving processes as required to implement counter measures. 

The essential requirements and skills of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement environments.  Analytical skills will be key.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and a solid background in conducting investigations.
  • Convert data to information, then to strategy, execution, and sustain the change.   
  • A Human Resources background spanning all aspects of the discipline, including employee relations, learning & development, talent management, and recruiting. 

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
