  • Coordinate the activities related to the AWS cloud infrastructure and database, involving the definition, development, and maintenance of procedures, as well as overseeing the study and implementation of new processes and techniques for the area.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and application owners across the company to maintain and support resources running in AWS Cloud Projects usage and required capacities based on analysis of existing and emerging products and services.
  • Work as a technical lead to drive maintenance of EC2 servers, databases, cloud applications to keep them up to date.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.
  • Work independently to create, update, implement and model best practices.
  • Discover and lead cloud cost optimization opportunities in AWS.
  • Apply in-depth professional level knowledge to independently solve a full range of complex problems and offers sensible solutions.
  • Follow best practices around database management, performance architecture and environment reliability
  • Lead and automate AWS cloud infrastructure deployments and integrations using IAC methodologies.
  • Develop and use solutions like CI/CD, CloudFormation, GitLab, BitBucket and Scripting to automate patching, maintenance and security of services running in Cloud and On-Prem
  • Deployment and management of RDS Aurora PostgreSQL/Oracle databases infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, patch compliance, and security, while closely collaborating with the security team to deploy new services and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and implement AWS best practices related to IT Cloud Security gaps, Monitoring, Performance, Resilience and Fault Tolerance.
  • Develop resolution of Trusted Advisor recommendations, identify gaps in AWS monitoring and security and implement solutions using Cloudwatch, AWS services, Splunk and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement best practices to improve availability of the business applications using Docker containers, ECS, EKS, Postgres DB and Serverless architecture.
  • Develop Blue/Green deployment for databases and application deployments
  • Establish and maintain monitoring systems to track cloud performance and availability. Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related technical field followed by 8 years of progressively responsible professional infrastructure engineering experience.

Experience must include:

  • 5 years of experience with Advanced Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • 3 years of experience with AWS Security, Automation and Monitoring.
  • 3 years of experience with DevOps Automation, Scripting, CI/CD tools, GIT and BitBucket.
  • 3 years of experience with laC tools such as CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Docker Containers and ECS.
  • 3 years of experience with the configuration and support of multiple, complex RDS Databases in AWS environment.
  • 3 years of experience with cloud performance and cost monitoring.
  • 3 years of experience with Lamdba, EKS, ALB, WAF, EFS, S3 and Aurora Postgres.
  • 3 years of experience with Splunk and New Relic.

Telework: 100% remote; position may be performed from anywhere within the U.S.

SALARY: $150,437 to $152,000/year.

This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US

Compensation Grade Range

$137,445.00-$161,700.00

Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors may include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.

If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions.  One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
