Job description

About the Role
The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business development within the medical device contract manufacturing industry. This position is responsible for lead generation, relationship management, and technical sales support, with a focus on OEM medical device clients. The role requires frequent travel and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure seamless client engagement from design through delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on company capabilities and present technical information to clients
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing programs using CRM tools
  • Analyze sales trends and create targeted strategies to boost revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM medical device customers
  • Promote contract manufacturing services for silicone medical components
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support client project needs from concept to completion
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Coordinate design and development meetings and assist in generating accurate quotes
  • Facilitate onboarding of new projects in collaboration with engineering and customer stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical devices, their applications, and associated technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum five years of sales management experience in the medical device industry
  • Demonstrated success in business development and relationship management
  • Strong understanding of medical device manufacturing processes and terminology
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools
  • Technical background or experience in silicone component manufacturing
  • Familiarity with trade shows and industry networking events
  • Strong presentation and communication skills tailored to technical audiences
  • Ability to travel extensively, including international destinations such as Costa Rica
