Key responsibilities:

  • Debug and optimize the Unreal Engine 4/5 rendering codebase to resolve complex rendering issues.

  • Collaborate with gameplay programmers, level designers, and artists to create essential gameplay features and custom tools.
  • Debug and resolve rendering issues on Android and iOS devices to ensure exceptional visual experiences.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Rendering Engineer to join our team and
push the visual boundaries of our games. You will be instrumental in optimizing and
enhancing the rendering pipeline, ensuring stunning visuals and smooth performance
across various devices, particularly mobile.


What You’ll Do:


● Engine Debugging & Optimization: Deep dive into the Unreal Engine 4/5
rendering codebase to debug complex rendering issues and identify areas for
significant optimization.
● Prototyping & R&D: Develop Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) for cutting-edge
rendering optimizations and techniques to enhance the visual fidelity and
performance of our games.
● Problem Solving: Proactively identify and provide innovative solutions for
rendering-related challenges encountered within our games.
● Tooling & Features: Collaborate with gameplay programmers, level designers,
and artists to develop essential gameplay features or create custom Unreal
Engine tools and workflows that empower content creators.
● Mobile Optimization: Debug and resolve rendering issues specifically on
Android and iOS devices, ensuring an exceptional visual experience across
mobile platforms.


What You’ll Bring:


● Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in
Graphics.
● Shipped Game Experience: Successfully shipped at least one commercial
game on the Android platform using Unreal Engine 4/5.
● Rendering Expertise: Demonstrated professional experience as a Rendering
Engineer or Engine Developer within the games industry.
● Tooling Development: Experience in building engine tools, pipelines, or
workflows to streamline game development and content creation.
● Performance Profiling: Hands-on experience with performance profiling tools
like RenderDoc and Unreal Insights, with the ability to diagnose and address
rendering performance bottlenecks.


Bonus Points:


● Experience with advanced rendering techniques (e.g., global illumination, ray
tracing, UpScaling).
● Knowledge of mobile GPU architectures and rendering best practices.
● Experience with C++ and shader languages (HLSL/GLSL).
