Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Process Documentation Improvement Analyst captures, documents, and maintains comprehensive work instructions across multiple departments. This role involves using automated process-capture tools and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business systems and end-user documentation, ensuring consistent and accessible resources for employees.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Utilize the Microsoft 365 suite proficiently (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) to support business processes and team collaboration. 
  • Observe and analyze workflows across departments, (such as: labor tracking, inventory transactions, AR/AP procedures, order entry, and engineering).
  • Utilize process capture software (e.g., Scribe, Tango, or UiPath Task Capture) to document and visualize workflows.
  • Translate and validate captured processes into clear, standardized work instructions, including step-by-step guides and best practices.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and department leads to validate, refine, and maintain accurate process documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date, version-controlled, and easily accessible to all users.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements through documentation and analysis.
  • Provide regular trainings, training materials, and user guides to support onboarding and continuous learning.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure consistency and alignment of documentation across the organization.
  • Partner with our talent development teams to improve training, documentation and streamline knowledge.

 

SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:

  • Initially non expected, but this may expand up to 3-5 people over time. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in business systems documentation, business process analysis, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with process capture and documentation tools (e.g., Scribe, Tango, UiPath Task Capture).
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and improve workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and accounting principles. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of gathering technical requirements and translating technical details into clear, user-friendly instructions for end-users. 
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to meet deadlines consistently. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Experience with helpdesk and ticketing systems. 
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including inventory, engineering, and financial workflows.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly industrial electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, ABBYY Timeline).
  • Project management experience for handling multiple documentation initiatives simultaneously.

 

JOB LOCATION: 

  • The position is fully remote but with up to 25% to 50% travel required to IEM facilities or conferences.
