Compensation Pay Range:
$110,000.00 - $165,000.00
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
The Product Owner manages Scrum teams to transfer the project/product vision to design, development, and delivery. Guides the team through the product backlog toward building the right product, considering the vision, planning, and budgets of the business, customers, or use.
This role can be worked remotely in the United States with travel to Springfield, MO as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Take responsibility for all aspects of a life cycle of a product or set of products, including long- and short-term development and marketing. Stay abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position.
- Analyze and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex products and services and develop and amend, as necessary, with guidance from senior colleagues. May also be responsible for supervising activities performed by a product development or specialist team.
- Evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposed solutions, working in cross-functional or agile teams to develop and deliver significant aspects of the development program.
- Research data from digital product/service performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for product/service improvement.
- Execute the development plan for a new product or service, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating to project stakeholders.
- Plan and replan software releases for medium-sized projects as they are produced to ensure timely updates and to deliver the planned benefits as early as possible in the project or program.
- Review the backlog of work for a medium-sized project and reprioritize the work and the deployment of project resources to reduce costs and increase the value of the work delivered to the business.
- Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
- Deliver baseline assessments and post-implementation analyses to evaluate and track the realization of business benefits.
- Contribute to and maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
- Demonstrate the most valuable features/attributes of the product/service; lead a team of demo specialists to bring the highest value to customers during demonstrations.
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in product owner, product manager, or similar role.
- Experience with managing and developing all aspects of a product or service to ensure it achieves its full impact and value in the market.
- Ability to oversee and manage all stages of a product's lifecycle, from ideation to retirement, ensuring efficient processes, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards
- Operates as a recognized expert to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet objectives.
- Effectively communicate and articulate potential resolutions or strategies in a clear, compelling, and tailored manner to address specific challenges or meet organizational needs.
- Analyze and research market conditions and facts in order to develop a full and comprehensive understanding of the market to enable it to be exploited for the benefit of the brand, product or service.
- Determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making.
- Identify potential stakeholders, analyze their expectations, and develop strategies for managing stakeholders and their expectations.
- Identify sequence, and resource project schedules for timely completion.
- Plan, identify, monitor, analyze, and prioritize risks, create response plans, and manage the risk if it occurs.
- Works at an advanced level to identify, verify, and manage changes to the scope of the project or program, utilizing the most appropriate approach.
- Identity appropriate measures for assessing solution performance and limitations, validate with key stakeholders, and collect appropriate performance measures to assess overall solution performance to recommend specific actions to increase solution value.
- Identify track, and enable the achievement of the planned benefits and intended outcomes of a program and associated projects.
- Develop an effective change strategy based on gap analyses and enterprise readiness assessment results, including transitions states and release plans.
