GDIT is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support our Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) program. This position is 100% remote.
As a Senior Test Engineer you will be part of a team of testers and technical writers who are embedded in a fully cross functional team working closely during Agile Sprint planning, tracking and execution. You will be asked to apply your skills and expertise toward writing test cases and conducting test events to validate ICAM software tool configuration and operation, ensuring that deployed capabilities adhere to company standards and contract requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and that project leadership is kept abreast of test status and application deviations from documented user requirements.
This position will be directly involved with supporting the design, development, integration, and maintenance of DoD applications moving into the ICAM solution. Additional tasks associated with the discipline of testing will apply, as applicable to the scheduled work. The ability to work in a fast moving, challenging DoD environment is a must. Other duties as assigned.
HOW A SENIOR TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely and relevant feedback
Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases
Perform thorough functional, integration, regression, data integrity and stress testing
Identify and document defects, collaborating with developers when necessary
Track, monitor and report progress on JIRA ticket assignments in daily Scrum Sessions
Track defects and reporting key metrics for proactively identifying areas for improvement relating to performance, security, data integrity and reliability of the system
Provide input toward reports conveying test results and findings to technologists and other stakeholders, such as end-user testers
Support the troubleshooting and resolution of end-user issues reported
Actively manage functional area risks and issues to close technical gaps
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:
CLEARANCE: Must currently hold an active DoD Security Clearance of SECRET, or higher
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, OR additional work experience in lieu of degree.
YEAR’S EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of hands-on software testing experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Experience with software testing types and methods to support Agile Software Development
Demonstrate proficiency in the generation of test strategies, metrics collection, data analysis and validation
Experience in decomposing requirements into detailed test cases for functional and regression test execution
Experience implementing test tools to support automation and performance testing
Experience coordinating the setup of test environments for all planned test execution activities
Experience and/or basic understanding of Jira and Zephyr
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exhibit strong communications skills (written and verbal) needed to create, discuss, and explain gaps in requirements and issues identified during test events

CERTIFICATION: Active CompTIA Security+ certification, or higher
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Experience with Agile project management tools, such as Jira
Experience with test management tools, such as Zephyr
Experience managing the change processes such as build promotions to Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and Production environments
Technical proficiency with SQL including the ability to create queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints
Experience implementing testing and configuration management methodologies to support continuous integration

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
