Position Summary

Position Summary: Reporting to the High Voltage North America leader, this West Coast Sales Manager position is critical to expanding Prysmian Group's market share in the region. The role focuses on strategic sales of High Voltage systems (cable, accessories, installation, site acceptance testing, and monitoring) to Investor-Owned Utilities and Public Power entities. Key responsibilities include cultivating strong customer and sales representative relationships, achieving annual sales and profitability targets, and providing a 3-year market forecast to inform business planning. The Sales Manager will also support other Prysmian Group sales teams (Network Components, Prysmian Electronics, and Corporate Hangar) as needed and will drive growth through customer forecasting, contract management, and the promotion of new technologies. Extensive face-to-face interaction with key stakeholders is essential.
 

 Specific Job Duties

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed annual sales and profitability targets.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Expand sales within existing accounts by deepening relationships and uncovering new applications for Prysmian products.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and provide a three-year market forecast to inform business planning.
  • Proactively engage with key decision-makers at Public Power and Investor-Owned Utilities, including Supply Chain, Standards, Project Engineering, Warehouse, and Construction Management.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to customers and prospects.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues promptly.
  • Gather and disseminate market intelligence to keep the organization informed of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Organize and host product training sessions and plant tours to educate customers and promote Prysmian products.
  • Communicate customer feedback and market insights to management.
  • Represent Prysmian at industry events and trade shows.

Key Characteristics

  •  Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence key decision-makers.
  •  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including presentation and negotiation.
  •  Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills.
  •  Solid technical understanding of electric utility infrastructure.
  •  Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to dynamic environments.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  •  Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and profitability goals.
  •  Experience collaborating with legal teams on contract review and terms and conditions.
