Job Summary: KBR is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician SME in support of the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Operating Unit. The Engineering Technician SME will support the CIP Operating Unit and it’s various programs as a subject matter expert in the design, analysis, development, modification, and improvement of products/processes. Activities include but are not limited to: identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions, inspecting, testing, maintaining, researching, repairing, and installing equipment and systems. Tests new and modified products, processes, and/or systems. This technician independently plans and accomplishes complete projects or studies of broad scope and complexity or serves as an expert in a narrow aspect of a particular field of engineering, e.g., environmental factors affecting electronic engineering. Complexity of assignments typically requires considerable creativity and judgment to devise approaches to accomplish work, resolve design and operational problems, and make decisions in situations where standard engineering methods, procedures, and techniques may not be applicable.
Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to represent the company in the best light possible, be willing to travel, and be able to interact confidently with individuals at every level of each organization. Ideal candidate will have a Secret clearance but not required.

Compensation: $82,800 - $124,200. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
