The position:

We are seeking a Sr. Compensation Manager to support us attracting, retaining, and motivating the best talent by providing analysis, consultation, and insight for compensation matters. The Sr. Compensation Manager will work cross-functionally and collaborate in planning, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering compensation programs and mechanics that support OpenTable’s overall strategy. Your work will touch our short and long-term incentives, benchmarking and survey analysis, and more.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and processes to recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives

  • Liaise with FP&A and our holding company to formulate accurate compensation related forecasts, and adhere to established budgets

  • Lead mid-year and year-end compensation cycles, ensuring smooth execution and managing within internal and external controls

  • Promote an understanding of compensation philosophy, practices, and administration across all levels of the organization. Create compensation materials and training to illustrate and communicate variable and incentive compensation related information and changes

  • Recommend and implement new systems, tools, processes, and procedures to continually improve the administration of compensation; partner with HR Operations and HR Systems to manage compensation structure, business processes and job profile data in Workday HRIS system

  • Lead a small team of direct reports to deliver deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing pay programs

  • Advocate and gain consensus with executives on our compensation programs and tools

  • Develop a deep understanding of the OpenTable organizational structure, jobs, and business to inform accurate, rigorous market pricing

  • Champion and embody the OpenTable culture, mission and values

 

Please apply if:

  • You have a B.A./B.S. with 7 – 10 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst (or equivalent, such as Financial Planning), either “in-house” or as a consultant in a tech environment

  • You have rock solid analytical and technical skills, along with a strong attention to detail

  • You have an advanced level of experience in Excel/Google sheets

  • You have a growth mindset – you think about how to work smarter, and take on the next challenge

  • You can think creatively through ambiguity and are flexible and adaptable to change

  • You are comfortable presenting to senior management

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Canada located role is $150,000 - 160,000 CAD.

This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.
