Job description

Bryghtpath LLC is seeking an experienced Open Source Geopolitical Risk & Security Intelligence Analyst to provide dedicated support to one of our premier global clients operating across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is pivotal in enabling the client to identify, monitor, and respond to evolving geopolitical and security threats that could affect executive travel, regional operations, and corporate decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of experience in open-source geopolitical risk and security intelligence analysis, with at least part of that experience in the private sector, supporting executive travel, corporate operations, or global security functions. Candidates whose backgrounds are limited to SIGINT, HUMINT, or criminal/investigative intelligence—without direct experience in open-source intelligence for corporate risk and travel security—are unlikely to be a strong fit for this role.

About the Role

You will serve as a core member of the client’s Intelligence & Travel Security Program, tasked with identifying, analyzing, and communicating geopolitical and security threats that could impact personnel, physical assets, and business continuity.

This role is essential to the client’s global security strategy, delivering real-time intelligence, threat analysis, and strategic risk assessments focused on geopolitical developments and threats that impact executive travel and business operations. The analyst will provide tailored threat and risk assessments for executive travel worldwide, with particular attention to Asia and the United States. In addition, the analyst will play a critical role in setting up and maintaining proactive monitoring frameworks using a mix of commercial threat intelligence platforms, social media, and open-source tools to detect emerging risks, enabling timely alerts and data-driven decision-making across global security stakeholders.

This position’s efforts enable executives and employees to operate securely and confidently worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assess geopolitical developments, social unrest, natural disasters, and security threats globally—with a strong focus on Asia and the United States.
  • Deliver comprehensive threat and risk assessments for executive travel, tailored to location, traveler profile, and geopolitical context.
  • Configure and maintain software platforms that assist in monitoring executive and employee travel, enabling early detection of threats and proactive decision-making.
  • Brief senior stakeholders and executive protection teams on regional risks and security considerations.
  • Support the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and field security personnel with contextualized intelligence, escalation support, and operational recommendations.
  • Produce regular intelligence products, such as situation updates, pre-travel briefs, and geopolitical risk summaries.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to align intelligence reporting with business priorities, travel schedules, and emerging threats.

Note: This position requires regular overlap with the Asia working day (U.S. morning or evening) but does not require overnight shifts. Final candidates for this position will be asked to complete a writing sample prior to being extended an offer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security intelligence, threat analysis, or geopolitical risk assessment, with a clear track record supporting executive travel or corporate operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess geopolitical developments, regional security dynamics, social unrest indicators, and political stability across Asia, the United States, and globally.
  • Deep expertise in open-source intelligence (OSINT) methodologies, tools, and structured analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Korean is strongly preferred.
  • Proven success in producing detailed threat assessments, intelligence briefings, and decision-ready reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Composed, confident, and clear when operating under pressure or during active crises.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret complex, evolving risk environments and recommend actionable responses.
  • Self-directed and proactive, with demonstrated success collaborating across global, remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Intelligence, Security Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Crisis Management, or a closely related field.
  • Prior experience in intelligence roles within law enforcement, military, government, or corporate security environments.
  • Experience supporting security intelligence functions for a multinational organization, particularly with exposure to executive protection or global operations.
  • Proficiency with specialized OSINT platforms and social media monitoring tools (e.g., Dataminr, Babel Street, Echosec, Meltwater. Liferaft).

Benefits

  • Compensation is dependent upon experience, skills, and education
  • Bryghtpath offers a highly flexible work environment.
