This role requires a strong Cloud Systems Administrator with technical skills across multiple disciplines responsible for managing day-to-day infrastructure and operations activities. The incumbent in this position, as a member of the Windows Platform Services team, is responsible for Microsoft M365 and the Hybrid Cloud platform (Azure/AWS) that supports daily operations and is familiar with design and operations.
Incumbent is a recognized technical resource for the IT Infrastructure Team for Windows Server, VMware, and Azure Active Directory administration. The incumbent performs advanced server administration and maintenance tasks and provides some application related server support. This position may lead medium to large sized projects and is expected to have excellent communication and support skills to facilitate partnerships with peers and application teams.
The Cloud Systems Administrator reports directly to the Infrastructure Technical Lead and Sr. Manager Infrastructure.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage Office365 applications such as OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Outlook and Azure AD.
- Configure, manage, and monitor cloud-based services such as AWS EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS.
- Implement containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for faster delivery cycles.
- Deploy microservices on Kubernetes clusters in order to increase scalability and availability of services across multiple regions.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build and deployment processes.
- Research, analyze, develop, and document new processes and procedures to implement new solutions.
- Engaging the End User Support teams to validate and document OS Deployment solutions on End User Hardware and to manage deployments utilizing Intune/SCCM.
- Has good experience with Microsoft Autopilot, to automate device deployments.
- Assist in enforcing security policies and procedures, including anti-virus and anti-malware protection, intrusion detection and prevention, and data encryption.
- Implementing various developments, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
- Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs.
- Monitoring processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing wastage.
- Advanced Working Knowledge of Windows, MacOS and Linux.
- Advanced knowledge of systems security functions.
- Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and improve reliability in the infrastructure environment.
- Conduct hardware and software audits for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and configurations guidelines.
- Perform system tuning to utilize Cloud infrastructure to optimize running cost.
- Leads projects as assigned by Manager.
- Independently utilizes resources (knowledgebases, online resources, etc.) to research solutions for difficult problems.
- Performs analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, design, installation, and on-going administration of devices and systems.
- Identify, manage, and push for timely resolution of issues that require escalation to software and hardware vendors.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support on the infrastructure scope including manufacturing & supply chain infrastructure
- Server and Client Machine Vulnerabilities Scanning and remediation
- Server and Client Machine Patch Management
- Facilitate IT reports required by the business for analysis
- Identify training needs and conduct formal training sessions to ensure that all team members have a thorough understanding of the departmental processes
Requirements
Technical:
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Virtualization: AWS and Azure
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Datacenter operations.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Code Pipeline.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Cloud Networking.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience of Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Windows Active Directory domain structure
- Advanced working knowledge and experience moving on prem hosting environment to Cloud environments like AWS/Azure.
- Excellent troubleshooting
- Advanced knowledge and experience working on Linux-based infrastructure
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on with Server-side System Administration
- Understanding and knowledge of DNS/DHCP servers
- Incident handling for site-wide critical issues
- Proven track record of troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Experience working in a global Manufacturing environment is a plus
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with VMWare/Hyper-V/AWS
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Datacenter operations.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Backup solutions (Backup-Exec, etc.)
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with SAN Storage and SAN Switches.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Exchange/Office 365

Qualifications [EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE]:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
- Must have any of the certifications: MCSE, MCP, MCTS, MCITP, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), RHCT, RHCE, RHCSA.
- ITIL Certification preferred.
- Azure Certification is preferred.
- Security Certification preferred.
- VMware VCP Preferred.
- Amazon Web Service (AWS) Preferred.
