that specializes in international legal matters, policy advocacy, and litigation. They
operate globally to protect civil liberties and combat injustice through high-impact
litigation and strategic legal efforts.


About the role:

Our client is looking for a remote Attorney with extensive experience in Civil Rights Litigation, ideally with a background in U.S.-based law firms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of civil rights law, a proven track record of litigation success, and the ability to manage complex cases with minimal oversight. This role demands someone passionate about social justice, highly detail-oriented, and capable of navigating sensitive legal matters with discretion and expertise.

Prior experience in civil rights litigation at a U.S. law firm is strongly preferred.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting civil rights litigation from inception through resolution,
    including investigations, pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial.
  •  Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including complaints, briefs, and motions.
  •  Conducting legal research and writing memos on constitutional law, discrimination,
    police misconduct, and other civil rights issues.
  •  Communicating with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and courts in a
    professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinating depositions, expert reports, and trial preparation.
  • Maintaining up-to-date case files and legal calendars.
  • Ensuring compliance with court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.



Who are we looking for?

  • 6–8 years of hands-on litigation experience, with a focus on civil rights law.
  • Experience working with U.S. law firms (strongly preferred).
  •  Proficient in using legal litigation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing for and participating in depositions, court
    hearings, and trials.
  • Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with remote teams.
    Highly organized and committed to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

 

Position: Attorney

Remote Status: Fully Remote

Preferred Location: DRC and Latin America

Working Hours: 9 am - 5 pm EST

Holidays: US Federal Holidays

Salary: 3000  USD - 3500 USD
