Your Role

This is a key functional leadership role at sub-regional level (Brenntag Essentials China & Hong Kong) to provide strategic direction, best practice guidance, and cross-functional collaboration support to supply chain and operation teams in LMSOs via dotted-line influence, and to support Brenntag’s global and regional supply chain strategy, enhancing service delivery, and enabling the development of high-performing supply chain capabilities across the sub-region.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate global and regional supply chain strategies into actionable guidance tailored to local business and operational contexts.
  • Set up and implement sub region supply chain strategy to support business strategy. Support Sub region president to achieve business growth.
  • Drive alignment with BES Last Mile Service Operation (LMSO) model where applicable, and support deployment of key initiatives in areas such as safety, quality, supply planning, logistics optimization, warehouse operations, etc. to support BES CHK business strategics.
  • Partner closely with LMSOs GMs and local operation teams to identify and bridge capability gaps across the supply chain function.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between commercial, operations, and regional support functions to drive consistent supply chain excellence.
  • Provide functional input in the design and rollout of supply chain related projects and key business decisions from a supply chain lens, balancing service, cost, and agility.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the sub-region to measure supply chain efficiency, cost effectiveness, and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by promoting supply chain analytics and visibility tools.
  • Promote harmonized processes and systems within the sub-region in line with Brenntag BES global and regional supply chain standards.
  • Lead or support training, capability assessments, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to elevate local team’s competencies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or above, major in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or other Sciences; Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader Certification is preferred; CPIM is preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in (industrial/chemical) distribution sector, Supply Chain management including strong experience in given In-depth knowledge and experience in MNC companies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to make decisions based on data and business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with teams across different geographies.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of English communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • Must be flexible to travel when required to fulfill needs of the business.
