The opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who can help us build better tools for teachers and students. At Atomi, we're working to improve how people teach and learn, and we need someone who can develop thoughtful solutions that actually solve problems for our users. In this role, you'll collaborate with a passionate team to create experiences that make learning engaging and teaching more effective, while continuing to grow within our Engineering team.

We’re looking for someone who writes high-quality, maintainable code and understands how frontend decisions can impact teachers and students in real, meaningful ways. You’ll have a chance to help shape our frontend experience, contribute to a growing design system, and work closely with a team that values collaboration, empathy, and impact.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Australia. Our headquarters is located in Ultimo, Sydney, and you're welcome to work there whenever you'd like.

What You'll Do
  • Build teaching tools that make lesson planning and classroom management easier, and create learning experiences that help students engage deeply with educational content
  • Use your experience as an "all-arounder" Front-End engineer to contribute on a variety of projects.
  • Manage complex frontend state and integrate with backend services while upholding best practices for performance, testing, and accessibility
  • Contribute to discussions on frontend architecture and help guide implementation with a pragmatic, quality-focused approach
  • Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers as appropriate
