Business Operations Support Specialist Job Description
General Description
The Business Operations Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the SVP of T&S Engineering in all activities related to tools, software, strategy planning, and facilitation to ensure smooth business operations. This role involves coordinating sales and strategy support activities, managing documentation, and contributing to high-quality, efficient business processes. The Specialist will work clo

sely with technical, commercial, and support teams to meet internal and client requirements. This position also involves maintaining a library of supporting documentation and ensuring adherence to the company's operational processes.

Sales Support Activities:
  • Support Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business development by creating Engineering of Choice (EoC) target lists, identifying bid cycles, and maintaining accurate records in the company CRM.
  • Coordinate with Quanta Commercial Operations to track and report engineering related opportunities with key customers.
  • Update Salesforce database and publish reports relative to engineering opportunities.
  • Manage coordination of marketing initiatives with internal and external teams, ensuring timely and effective delivery of materials and campaigns.
  • Plan and coordinate participation in engineering conferences and industry events, overseeing all logistical aspects to ensure seamless execution.
  • Research and identify relevant conferences and publications with presentation opportunities; track abstract submission deadlines, assist with proposal development, and promote content across Professional Services and corporate channels.
Strategy Support Activities:
  • Conduct market research to inform and support key strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate strategy action plan meetings, ensuring timely progress on activities and driving accountability across teams.
Additional Tasks:
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of tools and software critical to business operations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the SVP of T&S Engineering and other departments, ensuring clear, effective, and timely communication.
Content Management and Development:
  • Develop and maintain a centralized library of supporting documentation, templates, and visuals to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams.
  • Regularly update project profiles, resumes, and boilerplate content to reflect current company experience and capabilities.
  • Implement and manage standardized file structures and documentation protocols to support consistency and version control.
  • Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested.
Required Experience and Education:
  • Associate’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce), Microsoft Tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc)
Preferred Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience (preferably in the engineering or technical industry).
  • Management skills in business operations and support, specifically in the engineering or technical industry.
